I currently am running an Awaki 70 (japanese) and all is hard plumbed. I wanted to switch out this w/ an RD....I only have so many inches on the output. Also, what are the inlet/outlet 1"??

I think the input sits higher than many other pumps.
Most use silicon tubing on the input and output. That reduces the chance for vibrations creating in the plumbing and/or sump.

The ends are slip. I will get more accurate dimensions later.
you can get 40mm to 1.25 or 1.5" couplings (slip/mpt or slip/slip) and conversion unions exist as well.
Intake IS a bit tall. Taller than for the Darts I originally planned for.
Also these are FLOW pumps. that Iwaki 70 is a pressure rated pump. flow characteristics are different.10x3x2 FOWLR (for now)

Thanks again Chuck....Steve that was what I was looking for. What do you all suggest given that Awaki are pressure rated and RD is not. Current output is running at least 6' to 4 returns nozzles ( 2 on each corner )??
Awaki 70 = 1500g/h @ 4 ft.

I will use 6.5m RD pump for return....
1 inch PVC pipe for outlet is too small?
I plan to use 1inch pvc pipe b/c outlet of RD is 1inch...

Uhm, Vince for sure the outlet is NOT 1 inch. It may be 25mm which is really, really close, but I guarantee you it's a metric outlet, not imperial.10x3x2 FOWLR (for now)
