  • pump Maintenance?

I have a sequence dart for the return pump on my tank. And was wondering what Maintenance if any I should do to keep it working?

Make a box that you can hook it up to and run a dilute vineagar or muratic acid or the deltec ezeclean through it to clear calcium deposits.
    10x3x2 FOWLR (for now)
    BK400ext
RD12 return, 2 RD12 closed loop, wavebox with extension
    MRC kalkmixer
    IKS

bearings realistically wear out after A LONG time.

seals--if the thing starts leaking you need to replace the seals.

make a bucket, drill a 1.5" or so bulkhead into it. hook your pump up to it, fill, plumb a simple return that goes over the top back into the bucket. Done.

depends on how CA hungry your system is and what alk you run it at. The higher the CA consumption and alk more often. Average 6 mos.
