  • Why I like Wide/Deep tanks!

Looks as if you are looking from a shallow lagoon. This is from a Japanese website a while back.. I dont even remember which one. I had it saved.

Good save, Edward, it reminds me of that Brazilian grow-out tank with all those big Acropora colonies that appeared on a RC thread, :blue: Bob

Very nice aquascaping. Since SPS usually looks nicer from the top, maybe our tanks should be like this to better appreciate the colors without having to climb ladders and movign lights away.

Edward, where do you find all these amazing looking tanks... awesome!

I think its to do with the lights being on the top..., I reckon if you shine lights from the front (at the side of the coral), the colour will come out much more. IMO Edward and some spotlight Japanese tanks do that very well.
          JMO tho!

Edward, do you have anymore pics of that tank? Im always on the search for Japanese tanks! thx

Farish, that was one of my goals for my new tank. To have a great open view from top. BUT the only problem with this is the amount of flow it will create which will distort the view from top down. Anoither problem is the lighting.. not much lighting we have available in the U.S. is compact.

Josh, I dont remember where i found this tank... its been a while. sorry.
