  • Did anyone at MACNA see the icecap pump?

There's a mention on the WAMAS MACNA review that IC has a mag coupled pump that they displayed. Anyone see this?

Sure did, it was very cool looking.

on the inside of the tank goes the propeller, and on the outside goes the motor, it was killer.. Sorry no pics, as I was a dumbarse and forgot my card reader so I just said forget it.. Gary may have some though?

It moved a lot of water!

WOW, No heat as the motor is outside the tank--does anyone have it's vital stats, ie. flow rate, adjustable-flow & finally the cost? Thnx. Bob

WILL THE ASSAULT ON MY BANK ACCOUNT NEVER END????? ;-)

Love them, but definitely limited applications. Can't move em around like a Tunze.

I dunno dude. That looked like it's got the magnet mount already built in....

              I WANT IT!

                Chuck's correct--not a problem David as it's magnetized. Bob

Arggh. Now just need to see the specs. Icecap isn't stupid and I'm sure they made it every bit as controllable as the 7095. I won't be the guinea pig as I have a pair of capable 6200's on my 150 unless Chuck tells me to buy it. Chuck if you get any details behind the scenes LMK. GPH, flow pattern, warrantee, etc. Tunzes are rock solid with great support but dang they're big in my small 5' tank.

hahaha.. you are correct Chuck and others, you are only limited to the amount of glass you have! You can put these babies all over the place.

Just sent Chris an email to get info and MSRP on them. I will post as soon as he gets back to me.

I think I read that they were going to be around the $350 range.

WOW.. To be honest it looked like it may have cost them about $40.00 to make, it didnt look like Tunze Quality. I hope that is not correct, they didnt move near the amount of water that a 6060 moves and those are $99.00. Of course you would need a magnet.. but my goodness..

I was told that there try to release around Jan, and controllers in late summer next year. They were taking Applications for Beta Testers, so It will be while before they are out.
Two major drawbacks that I see is that being the way there are driven, you can not stick them in the back corner and angle them out to the front. You only option is to the middle of the side of the take and run side top side. If you do that the cord is harder to hide on the outside. They will hopefully work that out by production time.
Scott is right, not near the quality of Tunze, but that may change also.
