  • Dryer Lint Trap Filter

Wish someone who invent a sump where you could easily add/remove a cartridge net that draps detritus from going back into the sump. I know they have the socks, but it would be so much easier if you could just swipe it out and in like you do a clothes dryer. Not sure if you guys know what I am talking about especially since you are men.

That's what filter socks are for.... and with those you don't have to be afraid that the mate is getting lost. Edward, you could probably could also use your tighty whities as a detritus trap, just make sure it's the ones without the opening in the front.
Fish eat poop....tastes just like chicken.

I don't think detritus will build up/accumulate/stick together the way lint does. The sumps that incorporate a lid with a hole for the filter socks are really useful, especially if you have two. Just pull one out of the holder and put the new one in.

I just turn mine inside out and throw it in the washer by itsself.

Actually there is a screen type filter that my plumber uses that would work in this application. It has an outlet on the bottom, just turn the ball valve, and it sends the sediment out of the bottom. I will try to get a picture in a few days. My Local Lowe's also sales them.
You can get different size micron screens if you like.

The polyester screen 250 is the one I am going to try out. I just don't know how much backpressure it is going to cause. I'll report back as soon as I get one up and running.
