no problem at all I was going to use it too but was told otherwise hehe.. I know hard plumbing stinks, but in the end you will be happy, just use unions so you can take things out if you have to, makes life easier. I know I wish I used a couple more in my setup with both pumps dying, I had to break out the saw .. Best of luck and post some pics of what you are up to

No SHOUTING. Don't use all caps when posting. It is difficult to read and annoying.

Thanks for keeping this in mind.

yea shouting is annoying, none the less Seareef is right ppl use flex pvc to keep the flow, hard pluming is losing flow throu elwobs 90 decre is the worst for flow, which you dont have with flex pvc, having said that, i have never worked with flex, i had always hard pluming, but thats what flex pvc user claim and it makes sence to me, i was thinking on using flex my self on my new set up,

I disagree 100%. I have used both of them. Also ask GQJEFF about it, he used it and lost a lot of flow, so he redid his entire plumbing back to hard.

Is the ID of the flex the same as rigid?
Is the inner surface ribbed, if so that I think world change the flow characteristics of the pipe.

Some use 2-45's instead of 1-90 to make the turn less restrictive. It just takes more space.

I never really noticed a flow issue at all using it. It just didn't handle the pressure of the water being forced into it very good.. It rattled around and made my OM outputs move in the tank and I hated it... Went hard plumbed and its working good for me.. I use flex for my outputs from my overflows to my sump...

What i don't like about flex is that if used in unsupported sections it "sags". The ribbed sections I believe are supposed to cause the flex to be more restrictive than standard PVC, that being said, 90's are problematic in hard pvc as well. So...pick your poison.
