  • :( bad day with my darts

well after I had a dart fail after 3 days of use, they sent me a new one. Now after 8 days the other one failed . I am not happy at all.. So a 12m3 is going to be ordered! I am not happy with seq now. 2 pumps in less then a week of use. Pissed I am! They are set to 2" in and 1 1-2 out, not reduced at all..

I will say they are the old ones, and not the new black ones, but I never heard of the old ones going bad, just breaking from over-tightening.

I think I jst read a post somewhere in the last few days on the other board about a couple people having troubles with theirs as well. Bummer! They were hyped up to be such great pumps.

Scott, consider AM4700 or 5600's. I never had a problem with them Bob

Hm, Alberto I think had trouble with hammerheads, not darts. Interesting. By and large very few complaints of troulbe with sequence pumps prior to the reeflo line introduction. Now with the reeflo line, not a lot, but a few complaints.

Well, other than hang in there, I dunno what else to tell ya. good luck with it.

Oh yeah, so far with the RD 12--no complaints. It is a flow pump though so sometimes you gotta give it a plug/unplug to get it going. It does NOT like pressure at all, but if you plumb it appropriately, the flow is very, very impressive.

RD is a flow only pump, however for pressure RE is making a so called "whiteline Pump" which is a pressure rated pump, dont know if gary even sells those pumps

Scott, are you able to measure how much power your darts draw? with a "kill a watt" or something like that

What's causing the darts to quit working? Really not much to go wrong with the electric motor.

I dont have one, I would say on the top end 140 or so as they are supposed to be low amp/power pumps.

well the first one leaked where the shaft went into the pump as its completely open.

Now I find out the second one did the same thing, it then corded the motor so bad its stuck.

Great pumps I would use a dolphin but there power consumption is HIGH!

This is my last attempt with the dart, if this one fails I will go RD. I dont need a pressure pump as Its just for flow from the sump to the frag tank. But those white pumps look pimp!

Talked with MDM they have had a return of 40% with the last shipment of pumps .

Nick let me know bro, we will get you a replacement if one dies Keep the boxes!!!
