    High Head Pump?

    Need a pump that can deliver about 500gph at 20'. 1" plumbing with 2-90's.
    Any suggestions. Califorina is not basement country so anything past 4-6' vertical head is beyond anything I've dealt with before. Pump noise is not an issue at all.

      Will a pressure rated iwaki do it? The pressure rated pumps I like are the GRIs and the Iwaki knock off panworlds.

          Chuck... Doesn't matter either way.
          I have a new Gen-X PCX-55HP that shows max head at 26.2' but can't find any info on what it might deliver at the 20' I'll have.

                  presumably the GenXPCX55 and the Panworld 55 will be like the Iwaki 50 and that fits the bill pretty nicely.

                      That GRI is still screaming at 20' head. Not sure I'll need that much circulation. I will need enough though to keep the water exchanged with the sump and avoid heat build-up issues. This tank will be in full sun and tied to the 350 gallons inside. The 500 gph might be enough and I'm not sure I want to deal with a return size required for any more flow than that.
