  • AquaMedic SP - 3000 Dosing Pump

Is there any one who use this dosing pump?

Is it OK to use CA reactor?

    Thanks...

It is an OK doser, but I have found them to not be too durable. I have had several brake on customers in less than a year. Spend a little more and get a little more durable model and I personally think that you will be happier.

    What RX are you using?

          Colin your fast.
What Calcium Reactor are you needing a dosing pump for? What pump you need depends on what flow you want to flow thru the reactor.

Vince, I have no personal experience with the AquaMedic pump but a friend of mine uses the pump since some month for his CaCO2 reactor. So far so good, no long-time experiences. He had problems at the beginning by starting the pump while it not ran. He has used some silicon fat for the hose and everything worked fine for him. With a peristaltic pump it is necessary to change the hose from time to time so I would recommend to check the price for the replacement hose before making a decision.

                            Hi Vance,

Well it's not purely design to act as a dosing pump but it will work fine as a dosing pump since it rate is 30L/Hr only. Beside the outlet size is 16mm which you can easily reduce to 8mm by using those 16mm to 8mm hose reducer.
