Thanks for the info Bob! My LFS just got these in and they are incredible. The coolest things to look at were bright green hydnopora and some bright zoas. Really awesome. At $300 it might actually be worth it (they wanted $495). Of course my wife will now think I've gone completely over the edge of geekdom if she sees me peering into my tank with a "telescope".

Actually, that was meant more for a joke as my digital prowless equals a pre-schooler. They are, however, working on this attachment but as of yet is not available, Bob

I'd laugh it weren't both sad and true. Not sure if she finds the reef club more or less geeky than me playing online fantasy roleplaying games. At least the reef club isn't just fat, sarcastic Star Trek fans eating junk food and smelling bad. Well, not entirely at least.

Sorry to go OT. The mesoscope is awesome. Crying shame I need about $8k in other parts first and the discount won't last long enough that I have the 4 bills to spend on it.

Hey Bob, did you get it yet or do you hasve to wait until X-Mas ;-)

I've had one for 2 months or so and love it. It has a fairly narrow field of focus though, even when switching between the macro and regular mode. It will focus in macro from about 2"-5"then in x12 from 6"-12".

Those numbers were just a guess, but you get the idea.
