  • Salinity Meters

Do you guys think these are worth it? Aquatronica is coming out with a new one. Just wondering if they need to be calibrated frequently, of it they're accurate.

FYI, so far I'm happy with them Aquatronica. Much easier to use than the AQ for a dummy like me (which doesn't say a lot :crap: )

    Thanks!

I use the salinity meter by American Marine and it works well. It measures in micro Siemens and the reading must be converted to specific gravity, % salt or salinity (simple to do). It does have to be calibrated (or at least checked) on a regular basis against a standard solution (included in the kit). These meters are for spot checking and not for continuously monitoring salinity.

    Cheers.
