  • Tunze Osmolator vs Float switch

I am looking to add an auto top off system to the tank, just not sure what is the best way to do it. I know the tunze name stands for a quality product and the osmolator looks like a pretty cool, flexible piece of equipment. But how much better is it than say a standard float switch? Is it worth the $100+ ???

definately worth the money because of its accuracy

You know it all depends on the premium you want to pay for accuracy and dependability. Floats work fine. Mount the securely and then make a double or triple redundant system in case of float failure (happens and floats are cheap) and you'll be fine. But, it's a hassle. Get a tunze osmolator and really the likelihood of having a problem is extremely remote and it's amazingly accurate.
