  • Very cool Inline TDS meter...

Hey guys this was on my local board, i am thinking about getting one thought i would post it here to see if anyone has one and has some comments or if anyone would like one too...

    http://www.freshwatersystems.com/pro...1228/None/None

    it looks very cool,

although it says that it does NOT need to be recalibrated, but i think it might need to be?

That's a cool toy for sure. If only there was a 1/2" version so it would fit on my RODI unit

is your RODI unit a garden hose or something

Could you use adapters to step down to this size or do you really need 1/2"?

haha, I have an industrial 900GPD unit. The RO filters are connected with 0.28" hose and the DI is plumbed with 1/2" pipe. I think stepping down after the DI stages may add undue pressure.

Uhm, I've got a version with 1/2" for my new R.O. My new R.O. uses 1/2" in/out. 700+gpd. Basically, yeah you turn it on and it's like a garden hose. No need for resevoirs/tanks.

orion, go to www.airwaterice.com and ask 'em about it. That's where I got mine. Basically they take a 1/2" line splitter and put the sensor on one 1/4" line and then "unsplit" the line.

Sure makes live easy having an RO unit that pumps out water as fast as a regular tap doesn't it?

Sure thing, probably better because the filters are much bigger. Over here the tap water is not for human consumption so institutions like factories, schools, hotels etc. make their own drinking water and obviously require that they provide a safe product water.

Chuck do you think you need to recalibrate it every year? or no?

                        thanks!

Nick, never done it. Didn't even calibrate it out of the box. Did double check once and darn if it's pretty darn spot on. I listen to the numbers and change my filters accordingly.

Madison, the GE merlin is friggin' amazing. Trust me.

what DI would you recommend with this unit? I was thinking of something like this.
