  • About Starboard

Do you use Starboard in your BB tank?

What is a difference between starboard and thick normal acrylic?

Is it OK to use thick normal acrylic stuff(about 10T) instead of starboard?

    Thanks in advance~

No... most I think just set it in the tank without glue?

                  Can I have some questions?

                  1. The reason that installing Starboard is avoiding the crash the bottom glass when
                  the rock is fallen?

                  2. Is starboard heavy?

                  3. Where can I buy it? I know it is more expensive than normal Acrylic
so I do not know I should install this in my new BB tank..

Starboard is a cutting board found in the kitchen. How they got the name 'starboard' I don't know, but here is a link to the company that sells the stuff that I found over on RC

there named starboard due to the fact there made to use on boats as cutting boards for fish and such it is as heavy as any cuttingboard yes it is one MAIN reason to use it for the rocks also looks better then glass bottom and thats the site i got mine from im lucky enough to have them in NJ 30 minutes away and i picked mine up from them
I much rathered to have gotten a beige colored piece look more like sand but i didnt know they had colors

In my country, It is not easy to get starboard. and shipping of Starboard is difficult
and expensive issue.... Is there any other solution?(except faux)
How about gluing the PVC or acrylic?

Starboard is necessary to make BB or not?
