Theoretisch spricht nichts dagegen... ausser deine Pumpe dosiert und schaltet nicht ab, dann hast du ein Riesen Problem.

i got no experience with dosing zeofood with dosing pumps, we recommend to dose according the coralls, not the other way around, but basicly it should work, unless your dosing pump failes, in that case you are in big troubel,

I'm not sure what I would expect from the product whrn added to fresh water prior to dosing. The problem of dosing to meet the coral/tank needs will still remain regardless. Thomas Pohl's concern is pump failure which will continue to be a concern even when diluted.

I heard a little dosing zeostart poriodically is better than once or twice a day. so I think dosing
pump is the key. cause I should work during the daytime... but I am also warried
                      about failure of pump...

Vince, please notice Thomas Pohl was talking about the ZeoFood dosage.

I dose ZeoStart2 with a IKS dosing pump, very accurate and ideal for those low quantities – I only use one channel for the present dosage:

                            http://www.iks-aqua.com/html/engl/dosiertechnik_vario3plus.php

Also the one channel pump would work fine:

                            http://www.iks-aqua.com/html/engl/dosiertechnik_vario.php

The pump is operated by a electronic time clock which is also available from IKS called T-CON. This time clock allows to program intervals of two, five and ten seconds with a maximum of 24 intervals daily. There is also a adjustment screw at the pump to regulate the rotation.

I would recommend to adjust the pump outside the tank with fresh water. If the correct adjustment is found I would run the pump outside the tank for testing period of 24 hous, measuring the output.

I highly recommend to check the output from time to time.

I filled ZeoStart2 in a relative small bottle which is attached to the pump. This will help at a failure to keep the risk low. The bottle is refilled regularly.

Excellent information, Alexander, thnx. On their website, they do not indicate availability in the States or Canada. Yet, there is a Vario dosing meter available here, but I wonder if it's low dose enough for trace element dosing or in our case, Start2?? Bob
