  • New Bulb Break-In

I am getting ready to switch out my 250w Megachrome 13k to the new Phoenix 14k. Should I adjust my lighting period or keep the same? My old bulb is probably 12 months old. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldnt have any trouble with switching them out. I had 10k Ab's and switched to AC 14K's without any problems. I didnt lower lighting period or anything. If you were switching from 20k's to 14k's or 10k's, then I would be worried. The 14k's are just as strong per PAR as some of the 10k's.

Thanks. I noticed on Sanya's website the Phoenix tested about 16% more par than the Megachrome. I wasn't sure if the additional par would be a problem.
