  • About Radium 250

    Hi all...

Do you think Radium 250watt can help better coloration of SPSs?
    (not 400watt)
I have one but I do not know the color of bulb because I did not fire yet.

I heared the look is very good in case of 400w radium but I do not know

    about 250watt....

I am thinking Total 3 MH...The 2MH are 14K (AC and BLV) and I do not decide between full spectrum 150w Iwasaki 65K and 20K radium...

    Thanks In advance!

This thread is written about a year ago but not answer..

I use T5 bulb right now but I do love the color of radium..

250w radium is helpful to coloration? Growth is not issue...

    TIA

I have only ran the 400 watt Radiums, so I have no direct knowledge. IIRC, I read that the 250's are VERY blue and are very low in par. Some would consider them as supplemental lighting much like most use the VHO actinics. Not much help I know, but at least someone answered your thread.

I do like the Radium color. But... with the HQI ballasts I run, life span is <5 months. I don't think I will continue to run them. The Coralvue Reeflux12K on their E-ballast looks nearly identical.

              Thanks...

The color of 250 and 400watt is similar or not?

400w on HQI is much more white than 250w on E ballast

I used to run Radium 400w but after 4 months i have to change due to the color shifted and my corals look funky. Radium look great but the life span is too short. XM20k is way to go
                  I'm a quiter..... But i'm back now....
