    rattling 400 watt se bulb?

    I just recived my new 400w rasiums. One rattles and one does not. Is this a problem? It seems to be intact other wise.

    If it's just metal to glass contact inside the bulb I don't see it as a problem.

      All 3 of mine rattle. Don't sweat it. Unless of course, they don't fire.
      265 gallon SPS tank. Bubble King 300 Internal, MRC CR-6 Calc Reactor. 3 400 watt 20k Helios. 90 gallon Frag tank plumbed into main display.

        I tested it and it fires so I guess there is no problem. When I place the reflectors over my tank does it matter which way the socket is oriented?
