  • T5 the new ATI powermodule

II have extended my lights by 160 watts two weeks ago.
Already after this short time the first successes let themselves be seen.

I am speechless. The light provides extremely much light. I look forward to the development of the colors.

By the lateral air leaving the warmed air isn't steered on the tank any more.

The ventilators are an important constituent at the light. The active cooling spares not only electronics but the bulbs forms of the optimal temperature range simultaneously what means in the result for an increase of the efficiency of more than 15% compared with the models without cooling.

    Iwan

I really really really want one. I'd buy an 8x80W if any of you entrepreneurs on this website want to start selling them. I would lose the MH on my 150G in a heartbeat.

Yeah, bad thing is that I have met no one with real world exp with them, where as with the ATI they get nothing but praise.

I haven't gotten any feedback either, I've sent out a few PM's. I'd love to just get the shell, I'll replace the ballasts & bulbs here. I'm sure the Tek-Light is every bit as good (I used to have a 4x54) but my wife would never let me hang that thing in our home.

I don't understand why Americans tend to be OK with sub park looking, or functioning equipment - for the most part. From cars to hobbyist equipment.

Nick - I've had the SS and Icecap reflectors and the spread is pretty good F/B but non existant R/L (like any flo bulb). You get about 8"-10" or so per bulb, which is why T5 is so awesome. You put them side by side and you end up with several bulbs overlapping.

Oh and I hope my last point didn't come across as anti-American, once I posted something similar on RC and I thought DOHS was gonna come deport me. There are just very few companies who go the extra step to make something perform AND look great. I've been trying for 2 years to get a decent, modern looking tank/stand combo to no avail. I'll probably end up getting that imported as well.

Yeah, sleek refined lights is nothing that the manufacturers in the us pay any attention too =(.

You should think about contacting a custom furniture builder. They will build you any stand you want, its going to be very expensive either way, but with a craftsmen you can have it exactly the way you want. If I had the time I would help you out =)...I would love to make use of my wood working machinery hehe.
