  • Phoenix 250/150 DE 14K Burn In

Anyone know how long it takes for these lamps to burn in?
I went from 2-AB 250DE 10K/1-AB 150DE 20K to Phoenix 14Ks all around and I'm not sure I like how blue they are. I'm hoping they'll whiten somewhat after burn in.

are your using a electronic ballast or a magnetic ballast? Electronic will run the bulbs realy blue where as the mags will run them almost a crips white/blue light. But it takes a while mine took about a month or so running at 6hr/day

I'm running magnetics. . .Photo period is 14 hours on the 150 (for dusk-dawn effect) and 12 hours on the 250s.

Just remember, some corals react differently to different light spectrums. Some will looks TONS better and some may not.
