Elecronic ballast compatibility with bulbs

Hi guys,

need some advice about lighting. I'm about to buy 2 coralvue 400w electronic ballast and 2 lumenarc reflector to replace my 2 gieseman 400w projectors. I was just wondering if those coralvue could lit and run properly my new BLV nepturion 14000K SE? I sent a mail to coralvue asking the same, but I didn't get no answer. Can one of you lit my candle?

Oli, not sure why they couldn't.. My CV never failed to fire any bulb I tried and my friend even used DE with his...

Oli, they probably don't know b/c we don't have the 14k BLV in the US (400w), AND they are still getting there act together after Katrina. that being said, there's no reason it shouldn't light the bulb.

I had some doubt because the curent needed by the bulb is 4Amp and the ignition voltage is 4 KV. As CV doesn't give informations about these parameters, i was just wondering if somebody had already tested this combination.
