Vote For My New Bulbs!

OK, going to switch out my 14K Phoenix bulbs. My system is a SLS Maristar fixture, 3 x 250w HQI, run by SLS Bluewave ballasts (also has 4 x 39w T5 actinics, which I'll also be replacing).
I will be switching to a 10K bulb...but which one??? Help me choose by voting! Comments are appreciated too!

Iwasaki is always the best if you dont mind the yellowish...

BLV. It's different than the Ushio. There is no DE 250w Iwasaki, but if you want a really bright bulb and you don't care how yellow it is, the XM and EVC are options. The AB is also pretty yellow IME.

Chuck, I have always tot that BLV is the same as Ushio. Guess Im wrong

My vote goes to the 'others' category then. BLV is great. Using the 10kk 250W DE version and will mostly likely be changing it to the 14kk soon.

It's a "sorting" issue Farish. They come off the same production line. They test fire 'em and bluer are BLV, less blue is Ushio. End result is that the BLV 10k is slightly different than the Ushio and tends to be a bit more pleasant on the eye.

The 14k BLV and Ushio will be the same bulb apparently.

I'm looking for a more white/blue bulb, not the yellow. It seems that the BLV's might be what I'm looking for...but I'm going to let this go for a few more days.

Well i have used both Ushio and BLV and i really liked the color of both but the BLV runs a bit more white/bluish than ushio anyway very good bulbs.

That is really interesting, I never knew that. What does the HIT stand for? Is that the cream of the crop of BLV? I remember my BLV-HIT 250W 10K DE bulbs were the best DE bulbs I've ever owned. Great color, bright. But I had the best growth ever with AB 250W DE 10K.

I'm excited for the BLV 14K, can't wait until they come out.

HIT I think is just a marketing name kinda like HQI.

im gettin my new 10k reeflux i use 10k xm now and luv them but i hear ALOT of good things about the reeflux so im gonna try them

I have the reeflux 10k on for the first time today they look AMAZING crip crips white hint a of blue look amazing
