Anyone know how this stacks up vs lumenarcs? I was told by someone it might be better due to better corners. Beats me. Anyone out there got any input?

Not sure if it is or not.

What I like about the Lumenarcs is the adjustable mogul socket. Do these have that?

I have looked at these in person, I don't know about true specs but I would think they are about the same.

You know I was at Eric's (Fragfarmer) last night and he told me that Sunlight supply was coming out with something similar to the L3's. It might be something to look into.

After further inquiry, THAT is SLS version of the LAIII. It's slightly larger and SLS claims b/c of the corner design slightly better. It also apparently is in a standard SLS enclosure (white horticultural ones) so not as but ugly and about the same price. Yes it has the variable position mogul socket.

I'm also wondering about this one:
            http://www.nationalgardenwholesale.c...04_RF&prod=473
(the UFOs are coming to get me)
            and this one:
            http://www.nationalgardenwholesale.c...04_RF&prod=475
the second one b/c I think it "looks" ok albeit it probably is an inferior performer b/c it looks like you'll lose light out the ends.

                  Chuck...
The second link just looks like a spider in a box but it'll hold a piece of glass for DE bulbs?

The first one maybe just more rounded than the LAIIIs. Wonder what the distribution is like.

The "maximizer" one is like their ROII, but bigger (presumably works better with bigger bulbs) in a pretty box. Aesthetically my first choice, performance wise I presume the worst Steve.

The second one ("vertizontal") IS intriguing, but isn't any prettier than an LAIII

The vertizontal is 4 FEET ACROSS!!!! And further correction, while other SLS fixtures have variable mogul mount positioning the Lumenmax does not. I dunno if it's setup for 1000w or 400w ideally though....certainly NOT a choice for smaller wattages though.

I got pretty excited when I found and later switched to the lumenarc3 reflectors, ut I will blow the lid when they come out with them with 2 sockets or 2 bulbs in each fixture. I would switch from 400 watt to 2x250 watt per ficture and put an XM 10000K and a radium in each!!

Ya know, I got a buddy who did that with a DIY type deal and the "look" was pretty sweet.
