    My new coral roasting device

    Ahh my two new coral roasting devices have arrived today. Now I'll finally be able to even burn the corals all the way on the bottom into submission, the ungreatful bastards :flame:

    This is the Growzilla, dual bulb reflector from Hydrofarm.





    400 gallon reef, Bubble King 300, I~Spin, 2 x 10,000K BLV 400W, 2 x 20,000K Radium 400W, 2 x 6,400K Osram 400W, Schuran Jetstream 1, AquaController Pro

      Timon, what is the dimenisions of Growzilla? How does it compare to the Diamond-arcIII in size? Thnx. Bob

        Bob, 21" x 21".

        I don't know the size of the Lumenarc, but I do know you can't put two 1000w bulbs in a Lumenarc

            Timo, be careful, especially at the beginning. Corals kept in a nutrient low environment will need some time to adapt to the strong light.

            This is really a cool device

                Timon, IIRC, the Diamond-arcIII are 21x21. How many do you plan over your reef? Thnx. Bob

                  Alexander, thanks, I know I have to be very careful. I am hanging them over the 100cm deep part of the tank so the higher corals get the light from a side angle.

                  Also I bought this so I know exactly how large the light increase is for every coral:

                    Two. Each one will have one 14,000K bulb and one 10,000K bulb.

                    I plan to run the 10,000K bulbs only an hour per day and it will be the bulb thats in the front over the deepest part.

                    edit: when only the 14,000K bulbs are running I think it will match my current lighting intensity.
