  • Which 14K bulb do you like?

    For those of you using a 250 watt single ended 14K bulb which one do you like the best and how is its PAR rating

      Aqua Connect. They are pricey ($115 ea.), and hard to to get hold of, but the overall appearance (slightly bluish white) is very pleasing, and they really make the colors of fish corals etc. "pop".

      They have the highest PAR of any 14K bulb; provided they are used with electronic, or, ideally, magnetic HQI ballasts. For some reason the PAR is low with standard magnetic ballasts.

        I use EVC 14k High like the radium but cheaper That is 400w though
