The Taiwanese "HQI" is putatively a real MH ballast unlike the sonagro 430w HPS. Again, there are ALWAYS individual bulb/ballast combo relationships and some bulbs will like the HPS and some will like the Taiwanese. The general belief however is that ultimately, the HPS will "punish" the bulb and life will be shortened appreciably with early color shifting +/- fading output and out and out bulb death. Not enough experience with the Taiwanese "HQI", but presumably it's more like the 400w "euroballast" seen on say a Giesemann 400w fixture. Bulbs should last "normal" lives on them, but who knows.10x3x2 FOWLR (for now)
