My local fishstore has begun to import these bulbs direct and should have a steady supply from now on. The other source for these bulbs hs been very slow in supplying bulbs to distributers here in the U.S.

cool! Do they have a website? I assume you are referring to the SEs? It wouldn't make sense to import the AC DEs, as the Phoenix is the same bulb for much cheaper.
I love my 250W SEs, but have been wondering if I'll be able to get more when they come due for replacement.

i would guess, frink is talking about AC DE's, since online stores like premium aquatics are selling phoenix now, it would make sence for AC to focus on LFS to sell their bulbs, but like i said just a guess from my side,Comment

For those who are looking for the Aqua Connect,that Fink is referring to is Fish Nazi,Fish and Other Icthy Stuff in Oldsmar Fl.He has a web site,but he never finished it.They can be found else where put have to search around.I found putting your order in well in advance.Don't wait to this last minute trying to find them this does helps also.Comment

The new 15K xm SE is VERY comparable to the AC bulb.. In the 400 watt version the xm15k rocks.. Just got it last nigth and def VERY VERY nice...Comment

i use to have 400w -20k...they only last about 5-6 month...but,color was nice ,,,very clouse to radiums...Comment

Bob, no color shifts with my xm20K after 4 months... I think the new xm bulbs are about the best out there.. I am running them off eballasts so I think i will get more then 5-6 months. If you are running hqi maybe you will only get 5-6 months though. Mike what ballasts you using?Comment

Thats why you are getting shorter life.. These bulbs will be good for 9-10 month on eballasts... Any SE bulb will go out sooner with HQI...Comment

i made a faux sand bad 2 days ago..its rock solid now,do i have to soak in the salt water before i glue it in my tank?
cause ,friend of mine ( jackson) had problem with his skimmer because of that
