  • Whats the word on 400w DE's?

Its been some time now since the 400w DE's have been out. What are the rumors and experiences you guys have heard about them? Are they worth it vs a 250w DE or possibly a 1000w?

Chuck... Is that because of who is making all the 400DE bulbs? Do these same companies make 250DE with the same problem?
I held off getting a complete set-up after hearing that one of the 400w DE bulbs I sent to someone to test was only drawing something like 350W or so on an Icecap.

I don't think it's necessarily the bulb source. It seems to be an unsolved problem. I think there's a reason why you don't see an Ushio 400DE.

The only bulb I saw that was 400w DE was from Coralvue. Coralvue isnt on top of my list when it comes to replacing bulbs.
