    Sure

    I use a closed hood. Here's a picture when it's closed:

    Here's a picture when it's open:

    Here's what's under the hood:

    And another one:

Here's the design I gave to the builder:

This is the metal halide fixture I use, it's an AquaLight HQI-Leuchte MEGA-D 2x400W. I have two of them and each one has one BLV 10,000K and one Radium 20,000K.

I also have 6 x 55 watt power compact actinic and 2 x 96 watt power compact actinic. The little blue lamps are moonlights which are on a X10 dimmer, the lunar cycle is controlled by my AquaController Pro.

Yes I'm very happy with the Aqualight, it's hard to find a fixture that small with two 400 watt bulbs

How is heat with 2 400 HQI's in such a small space?

              There are four 400w HQI's

Heat is not an issue, the fixtures are actually sitting on top of the canopy and are well ventilated. For the water I use an 18,000 BTU airconditioner (which is outside the house) hooked up to a titanium coil inside a PVC housing and I run one of the closed loops through this housing. Does the job nicely

Here you can see better, the fixtures are on the outside for obvious reasons.

Man I'd love to have a cube that big but I was trying to make my new cube have no powerheads, no clue how you could make a tank that big not have powerheads!

                      Awesome tank though!
