    Anyone using Giesemann 250W SE/mogul 13Ks?

    I have been using the Aqua Connect 14K SE/moguls, and am really happy with them. They are ready for replacement, but I was only able to get one. The importer doesn't know when they will be getting more in.

    I am thinking of trying the Giesemann 13K, in the meantime. I am interested in peoples experience with this bulb, in terms of sps growth and coloration. I would especially like to hear from you, if you have experience with both the Giesemann and AC SE/mogul bulbs. Also, please post pics if you can.

    Hi Tom, I have experience with the 400W-SE, Ac vs. Giesman[megachrome]. With PFO ballasts, the Giesman is white/white & of course, more bright than the AC--blue/white. Sometimes the 250W bulbs/ballasts do not coincide with the 400W, but I think the differences to be similar. Bob

      can you give me more details about sps coloration and growth? I believe you are currently running the Giesemanns, is that correct?

        LOL, Tom, I'm currently running two I-6.5K's, one Megachrome, one AC, two AB's, & one Ushio--all are 400 W's. Growth is good under the Giesman but I've only been running the AC for 3wks. It does take some geeting use to as it's not as bright as the 13K's. I had heard alot about the AC's, but I'll probably try a BLV 10K in it's place in the future. Bob

          You have seven 400 watt bulbs??

            Timon, actually my math is not good I only have one I-6.5K so 6 400W'ers + a center 1000W AB 10K[13K] Bob
